OBS Integration
Connect WeConnect Studio with OBS Studio for live streaming.
Overview
WeConnect Studio can control OBS Studio overlays via the OBS WebSocket protocol. This allows you to display lyrics, scriptures, and announcements as live stream overlays without switching OBS scenes manually.
Setup
- Open OBS Studio and go to Tools → WebSocket Server Settings.
- Enable the WebSocket server and note the port number (default: 4455) and password.
- In WeConnect Studio, go to Settings → OBS Integration.
- Enter your WebSocket URL (e.g.,
ws://localhost:4455) and password. - Click Connect.
Overlay Controls
Once connected, you can:
- Text Overlays — Push lyrics, Bible verses, or custom text to OBS text sources with per-element shadow and stroke controls.
- Image Sources — Update OBS image sources from Studio.
- Scene Switching — Switch between OBS scenes from within Studio.
Requirements
- OBS Studio 28+ (with built-in WebSocket support)
- Both OBS and Studio running on the same computer or same network
